Blogs - Yes, Educators Can Use Them!

Blogs!  This is a term that I have never really put much thought into.  I have never really had any desire to have a blog or read a blog.  But, here I am blogging!
As I delve into the world of action research and blogging, my mind has been racing with ideas of how I plan to do my action research and how I can use my newly created blog!  Educational leaders can use blogs to get super, fabulous ideas that they have out for others to use and try.  It is a free way to disseminate information.  Questions that you want and need answers to could be posted for input from people that you don't know and wouldn't have contact with otherwise.  You can use a blog to post information about your classroom or school.  You could post ideas for your parents to give feedback on.  Blogs could be used for public relations purposes to highlight your programs.  I am sure that there are many more ways for blogs to be used, and I would love to have input on this topic from anyone that happens to follow my blog.
All in all, this blogging thing has been quite enjoyable today.  I have had a fun time talking out loud and typing answers to my homework questions.  I look forward to more blogging!!!!

  1. Brandy,

I feel your pain with both the blogging and dreading this class. I'm in EDLD 5301 too and never desired to Blog. It's good to find out that I'm not the only one. Your research topic sounds very interesting. My campus is also struggling with the same thing in the mornings. We've tried singing songs, and other activities until the bell rings, but management is so hard and the teachers get so frustrated. I look forward to following your blog and seeing what you learn so hopefully my campus can benefit as well.
